How to make a computer room feel homely or cosy.
There is a desk and some cables and a lamp and some furniture. The room has a wood floor and is approximately 3x4 metres. I want to put a TV in the room and some seating arrangement. I want to keep my computer in this room but the desk is quite oppressive in its height and greedy demands. I could use folding partitions to break the room up, but it isn't a large room. I am also open to possible alternatives to PC gaming without a standard computer desk.

For me simple. Merge it with your bedroom. Fill it with decorations that you like (for me it's my nendoroid and pop up parade collection+some pokecenter merch)

DIY Mame cabinet or Virtual Pinball setup in the corner.
Minifridge.
Anime wall scrolls.
A little neon and RGB is fine.
Adhesive LED light strips or strings of fairy lights are also good.
Inflatable couch or adult-size bean bag or papasan chair that you can get up and down stairs and through doorways easily.
Kotatsu in the center.
Shikibuton rolled up in the corner.

Maybe a gaming projector for the wall.

some neon lighting.

a cool couch or a poof chair

it's "cozy" when you don't need to worry about messing it up... just live in it.

Cushioned lap desk for laptops or keyboards are nice for sitting in beanbag or papasan. As long as it's wide enough for a mouse, or has a slide-out mousepad space.

I like gaming in total darkness so my pc and monitor all black, my desk and chair too, my mouse is black and my keyboard is black (I would be screwed if I not knew how to type blind xd)

Rugs, don’t ever underestimate the feel of even a single rug. I have but one rug in the computer room and damn does it make a huge difference. You wouldn’t think it make much of a difference but it really does.
