"Ad Blockers are not allowed on Youtube" nonsense
If anyone got this message on youtube, you can ignore it completely. I bet they'll eventually force you to disable your adblocker, but it's not being enforced yet.

This isn't just about YouTube since it happens with articles all the time but they are slowly putting more features behind premium, and one of the reasons ads are increasing in amount/frequency is because there are fewer people who watch them who also don't have premium. And why would a creator make anything free there either when they aren't making much money from it?

Creators can take sponsors from other sources(many do), they make essentially nothing from the ads on YouTube.

Ads have always been getting more invasive. Even before Adblocks were near as common as they are now.

It's just greed, plain and simple.
I prefer ads that YouTube thinks I deserve with no connection to the creator over them personally lying about some product. And if you think it's stupid that anyone would ever believe them they wouldn't make any money by doing it, and just because many do it doesn't mean I want them all to.

I'm guessing your favorite drink is Kool-Aid.

I'm sure there's some analogy to be made here about people telling others to do stuff and them doing it because they trust the person telling them.

The ads done by YouTube are even more deceptive than a YouTuber being sponsored by a product.

Too many people use ad blockers and now You Tube spams the same ads over and over. Its like a pool thats polluted over and over again.

But you know they have an agenda, is a YouTube listing the things they love to do using this because they actually love using it for that or was it part of a script they had to run through the company?

*YouTube now has 2 ads*

Ad Blocker: Good. Twice the ads. Double the ad blocker.

If you get that reference then I love you.

False equivalence.

YouTube isn't a singular creator with opinions and interests.

Which makes more sence? I am talking about YouTube as a single entity or I was autocorrected from Youtuber to YouTube?

Depends on the creator. Some will only sponsor stuff they like.

Companies learned the backlash they get from doing stuff like that back in the nap days. So instead they report you to your ISP. Then your ISP can take actions

Some will. Some say they will. If it's their only way to make money from people not paying more of them will have to claim they only sponsor stuff they like just to get by; there is a reason product placement on TV is highly regulated in many countries.

Those aren't related at all.
