Why does Amazon (or equivalent) still include sales tax or VAT?
Can they charge customers the price without taxes? (As in the companies not paying tax) since they are going to only charge the raw cost without any taxes at all (same goes for eBay, Mercari or any online marketplace), but why does Amazon, eBay, etc. still include taxes (imposed by the state or government) rather than voiding them?

One word:

Law.

Probably convenience. You'd have to be responsible for those taxes if they didn't charge them.
Or maybe they are legally obligated?

Because the Europeans charge their citizens with sales tax. In America Amazon doesn't charge customers with sales tax.

Well, a lot of US states don't even have sales tax. For the ones that do, people there get charged at that rate.

I mean there are 5 states without sales tax.
Not sure if I'd say "a lot" but there are a few.
Look at the amazon address.

amazon dot com is the usa market

amazon.ca is canada

from weeb
Amazon supports several marketplaces, including Amazon US (amazon.com), Amazon Canada (amazon.ca), Amazon Mexico (amazon.com.mx), Amazon UK (amazon.co.uk), Amazon France (amazon.fr), Amazon Germany (amazon.de), Amazon Spain (amazon.es), Amazon Italy (amazon.it), Amazon India (amazon.in), and Amazon Japan (amazon.jp).

Pricing is set by those marketplaces in those currencies and laws.

The states want their taxes. So they go to the source.

Not federal sale tax. States do have but rarely over 5%. While Europe has sales taxes on national level 20% and above. Which is unfair and therefore tariffs
