multiplayer games for low end computer

i was thinking of playing some games with my friends but problem is that some of my friends have low end computer i.e. duel core 2.5ghz,1gb ram,256mb intel card. so can anyone recomend a good game that will atlease work on the spec given above. Fps or racing.

tried it dosn't work. it runs on some but laging alot (aprox 2fps). by using config 5fps. btw we played counter strike 1.6 and thats the only game i found so far

well looking at requirements crysis 3 requires 3gb ram minimium and intel card is not supported! i dont think it will work

Ignore most of these suggestions. The only games that you'll get to work if your computer runs TF2 that badly, are older multiplayer games like Unreal tournament 1999. And most of these have only a miniscule amount of hardcore players on them anymore. Counter strike is about the only one I can suggest you get. Perhaps diablo 2 as well.

The problem with FPS games is that they eat by far the most resources of any genre. Maybe you should expand to others. "Soldat", BaboViolent and similar 2D-ish games offer action, gory one even, without being FPS. Or try older shooters that are still played, like Counter Strike. Day of Defeat Classic or Day of Defeat: Source, maybe?

Thanks for reply.. had alot of fun gaming yesterday.. anyways i wanted to ask that some shop is selling ati redeon HD 2400 in bulk and its very cheap (cost 8$ for each). will it be able to play team fortress 2? or half life 2, NFS MW,gta 4,call of duty,battle field?
