On par with Mass Effect? Well, any game will beat that. Really, any game at all.

I would recommend the Witcher 2 and the Dragon Age series.

Saint Row 3 and 4 are awesome, and so is Portal 1 & 2.

Also Fable they are all just as good as Mass Effect if not better ;)

I've actually bought the orange box and played the half life that was in there not sure which one it was but sadly i ran into a game breaking glitch and couldn't proceed :( Thanks for the awesome suggestion tho!
