Does more CPU Core increases Sony Vegas Pro Rendering Speed?

I had 4 CPU Cores (Quad Core), When I allows the Sony Vegas Pro to use 4 Cores, The Rendering Time has 1 Hour, After I reduce it to 2 (another 2 cores to play TF2), The Rendering Time still 1 Hour. So, More & Less CPU Cores does not affect the rendering time?

maybe the case is like this: you have a relatively very fast quad core processor that is working as fast as it can with your (slower) gpu. turning off the 2 cores does not affect the rendering speed.

(i could be wrong but i think a user cannot selectively use the other cores to play tf2.)

Considering you were able to find and buy the software (assuming you're not a filthy pirate then in that case you get 0 help). You should've found the forum for this quite easily. Since you didn't I did a quick google search to find it here[www.sonycreativesoftware.com]. Took me 3 seconds. Majority of people here don't have that software or are capable of answering your question.
