I love nu metal. The old linkin park, deftones, flaw, P.o.d, 3rd strike, System of a Down, and so much more. I think people don't like it because they don't like that it has "Metal" in the title. It's an insult to metalheads. Plus they probably think of Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit automatically who is known for being a douche. But Limp Bizkit actually has some decent songs, and an awesome guitarist Wes Borland. No matter what i will always love the fusion of hip hop and rock, if done right. But I can understand why older people, especially metalheads would frown upon it. Nu Metal had to happen either way. There was no stopping that period from coming, in bringing those two genre styles together. I miss seeing a rock band with a dj scratching the turntable, and a gritty guitar :(
Has nothing to do with age. Its like asking "Why do people hate spinach" or "Why do people hate oranges". Its a matter of taste and quite independent from age.

Well thats was kinda what I was saying. Older people would most likely prefer a different sound, and as you get older, your tastes can change. At the time, I doubt MOST 40 year olds were into nu metal. It most likely related more to a younger group that related to the lyrics, angst, and sound.
Exactly, and thats really cool to hear. I don't think all metalheads are that way. If you go online to different sites, you will find a lot of them bashing on Nu metal, and reasons why. Its just the way it is.
There are so many emotions tied into the older songs/styles that they feel safer than trying something new and not enjoying it as much.
Yeah, because people can't comprehend people to like stuff they don't like, and that is why they have to stop them.

Yes.The video has 9 other bands, among which are Evanescence, Slipknot and Deftones and others quite popular bands.
