Probably not as we do. It's likely there's some kind of sensation, but as far as we understand it, the part of the brain that processes pain isn't present in insects.

theres a lot of sources on it.

seems to be an agreement that they ahve a primitive type of pain receptor, and the debate centers around 'how much' pain they feel and 'where' they feel it.

Whether they feel pain or not isn't going to stop them from dying when they get into my house. Sometimes I let the spiders out. But only when there so big that my slight arachnophobia stops me from squishing them. I'm talking the spiders as big as a dollar coin or bigger.

something ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up happened that changed the way i see the world.

a fly was on my screen, so i tried to scare it away with the mouse cursor. the fly got mad pounched on it attacked and walked away. i chased it with the cursor again, it attacked the cursor again! it was mad that i was intruding on its space.

i was like that aint right. tried it again next day. new fly.

If it has a nervous system, it very likely feels some degree of pain.

Plants, bacteria, viruses, and fungi do not have nervous systems, thus do not feel any pain.
