Unless the voice is saying "KIll them, kill them." then go see a doctor asap.
Because some people do actually hear voices in their head, or at least talk to themselves.
There's an inner voice they speak with in a silent conversation or like a series of thoughts.
An inner speech or internal monologue as such actually exists for some people... You hear yourself talking with your subconscious. Yet others claim they don't.
It's actually quite normal and a good thing, so long you are the one under control of it all.
Been like this since I was 7.
As has been mentioned, that's the inner monologue or inner voice. I've always had it and never found it strange or unusual.
What got me surprised was me reading that some people don't have it?
.. I refused to get that at first, but upon asking (by a coincidence) those who also had that inner monologue, they confirmed to me that some people really lack that.
Honestly, I am grateful for having that.
Helps a lot with singing tracks in my head, even with the original voices (depends if I manage to recall the exact voice).
