... because whenever I smile or laugh that smile or laugh is gone the exact second the funny part is over and then my neutral expressionless face is back.

This little fact is apparently extremely... jarring to people.

Is there anyone here that is similar to me?

Mostly this... but there are many situations where I genuinely smile or laugh but even then it's gone instantly.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe the world has become so milquetoast, there's not much reason to show much emotion of any type anymore.

I don't know who that is so I wouldn't.

But being stoic isn't a bad thing I suppose. Not me though, I tend to try to appear jolly just so people smile back when they look at me.

As a guy with long hair I have to be careful of other peoples prejudice to not antagonize them in order to make my life easier.

It just happens... I only display facial emotions when I find something funny, disgusting, scary, or whatever.

And they're gone the second the "trigger" is gone.

I only do this intentional. Like to point out that a joke wasn´t funny - which is then usually seen as funny.

But then again i smile rather often i guess, and i "work" with my facial expression, and much with the hands (and body) when talking (or listening), even if i´m not Italian.

That fake half laugh when you are in someone else's house and they make a racist joke. Awkward. Like how am I supposed to know some people from Puerto Rico look down on Mexicans? I don't want to be involved. Hard to know what some people think and what they might say next sometimes.
