skull & Bones Beta on Thursday with Ubisoft , anyone signed up for it?
Early access is February 13th with ubisoft+ for pre-ordered editions well you being playing it or well you wait on reviews and ratings?

Was this the 10 year in making game that got delayed a whole lot?

I'm going to wait and see, jumped on the Hogwarts last time and still haven't played it

Hard pass with Ubisoft
Don't sound like a good game. Sounds like a poison sticker.

They better get used to not owning profits.

I gave up on this one. It was supposed to be the best game about pirates with a really good story instead it's just a poor attempt at Port Royale.

It's being released on February 13th because it's the 44th day and leaves 322 days in the year. 44 is the ordinal gematria of "kill". Skull and Bones is a fraternal order out of Yale and also goes by Order 322[en.wikipedia.org]. Yale turned 322 last year, in 2023. 223 is the gematria of the moon in Hebrew, so 322 is an inverted moon (numbers are also said to be reversed in the astral). A black moon. A solar eclipse. April 8th 2024 is the second Great American Solar Eclipse, and completes making an X across the US along with the 2017 eclipse. An X, kind of like X marks the spot, a skull and crossbones? It is exactly 55 days between 2/13/24 and 4/8/24. Twitter was changed to X to mark this occasion as well.

Edit - Can't find any indication it's ever been solidly set for the 13th. Seems like every article gives a different date. Weird. Actually figured it out it's just the early access, brain had a duhhhh moment between beta and early access.

There's nothing you could say to convince me to invest any kind of funds into an Ubisoft product.
♥♥♥♥ Ubisoft. At some point an indie dev will come along and outdo their piss poor effort. I'll just wait for that to happen.

I won't be buying it, ever.

Yes, due to multiple issues. One of the biggest ones is that they had a deal to hire locally, which is sensible if the gov't of Singapore is giving them some breaks.

But, that resulted in skill-drought, most likely. Not terrible, since Ubi has lots of teachers to loan out, but it makes it difficult to actually implement "ideas." There were other issues, I'm sure - Ubisoft hasn't been the most stable developer out there.

I've heard good things about Hogwart's. I think you're better served taking some time to play that and only after you've exhausted it should you then consider Ubi's game.

Personally, I don't think it's finished. I think it was just packed up and shoved out the door. They may add content/etc to it later, if there's enough of a response. Dunno, haven't played it, but I haven't heard good things about it. What coverage I've seen mostly talks about what content the game doesn't have in it, which is a bad sign.

Half the content is going to be scavenger hunts around the map like in every other Ubisoft again, as well as randomly generated content of generic enemies spawning at a randomly selected location, you know, like every other Ubisoft game, and that's going to go along with a heavy focus on DLC and passes. Like why even put a large sum of money down on the initial cost knowing what's coming, and at that point being too invested into it to back out?

Gamers who support studios like Ubisoft is what AAA gaming has gone to ♥♥♥♥. And they're also some of the biggest complainers after the fact but they just can't say "no."

Taking post 13.

not at those prices. maybe in a year or two when it comes to steam and with a heavy enough discount. i also want to see the direction the game will have gone in by that point.

right now i don't have the money to even entertain the idea, it's all going on other things. even if i did i would only go through Ubisoft exclusively, there is no chance of going down EGS, eff that!
