Why Steam is Blue?

Why it is Always boring blue. i mean, it could be red, or yellow or may be pink.

Same reason YouTube is red and white. It's a branding thing.

The same reason as Microsoft Windows uses a lot of Blue.
The same reason Facebook is Blue
The same reason Twitter is Blue
The same reason Police, Security Guards and certain civil officials' uniforms are blue.

Because blue is calming and sugegsts trust and reliability. It evokes competence and is neither passive such as green, nor agrressive like red.

There's no coincidence. Psychologoists and marketing invest large sums to identify these factors.
