-Fallout 4
-Farcry 3 (4 is pretty decent as well)
-Rome, Medieval 2, Empire, Napoleon, or Shogun 2 Total War. While turn based in parts, the combat isn't.
Anyway, FEAR 1 is in my honest opinion an even better Half-Life game than Half-Life. It's aged very well, too. Get it on GOG so that it doesn't have SecuROM screwing up your computer.
As for Bethesda games (because apparently they're cool now), Oblivion's still my favorite. Hasn't been topped, probably never will be.
In short, these are still my favorites (that aren't a part of the genres you've listed against):
-XCOM (so great it defies this "no turn-based rule anyway)
-Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
-FEAR and maybe FEAR 2 (get 1 from GOG to avoid SecuROM)
-Half-Life 1 and maybe 2 (Ep1 is crap, skip it for Ep2)
-Far Cry 2 and 3
-Crysis, all of them
-Resident Evil 4, 5, even 6 (5 is incredibly overhated but bring a friend, 6 is okay but as an RE game it's crap)
-Killer Instinct (Fighter on the Windows 10 Store with an excellent free model, great combat and Xbox crossplay/crossbuy, makes MKX look like a complete turd)
-Psychonauts (a fantastic 3D platformer and arguably Tim Schafer's best game)
-Batman: Arkham (Asylum is still the best, but City added an Open-World and Origins was good too. Knight is crap, don't bother)
-Alan Wake (story-based and linear TPS about a writer that comes across darkness monsters on a vacation)
-Max Payne (similar to Alan Wake but with an ex-NYPD cop, mafia baddies, and bullet time. The difficulty is... payneful)
Hitman
PENNY RACERS
If you play the first game's HD Remaster without Flour Bunny's 1996 voice acting mod, you're doing it all wrong.
I also recommend Furi and Thief (The old ones).
