Beat em up games from the 80's and 90's were hilarious.
Every other 5-10 seconds "UGH WAH"

oh and that one game where all the guards say halt, and you get to be in the house of dibella.

You should totally play Double Dragon Neon. It's 90s and cheese overload.

I'm uncertain about getting Streets of Rage 4. The cell-shaded art is off-putting.

If it comes anywhere close to reaching the bar set by the unofficial trilogy remake, I'll be surprised.

But then, an original Yuzo Koshio score is nothing to sneeze at, even if he was collaborating with others.

Turtles in Time gets all the attention, but the original arcade game is best and closest to my heart.

I really wish they'd remake it with the arcade visuals, but with the extra content made for the NES port added in.

Reminder that Trio the Punch exists.

Tekkin is the best beat-em-up ever imo. I played it religiously at arcades in the 80's then taught my son to play on ps1 in the 90's.

After he got bored continuosly beating me, He became a fan of street fighter (traitor)

Tekken and Street Fighter are fighting games, not Beat 'em Ups.

Although Tekken's Tekken Force mode is a Beat 'em Up. I really wish Tag 2 would bring it back, along with T3's volleyball mode and TTT1's Bowling mode.

My bad! Typical boomer😂

How about "Fighting Force" (ps1)

I guess that was considered a beat-em-up

My day care as a kid actually had a cabinet of the original Ninja Gaiden, infamously gruesome continue screen and all.

They'd never get away with that these days. Also, damn xbox for censoring it. MAME is the only way to genuinely play it now, I guess.

"If only those crazy Egyptians used there computers, they could have figured out they only had to dig a hole".

Beat 'em ups were side-scrolling fighting games like Double Dragon or Streets Of Rage.

Tekken is just a standard fighting game.
Though to be fair, Tekken 3 had that one game mode where you go around and beat up enemies, with the same control scheme like in 1v1 matches.
