Family Sharing problem
I am trying to play KOTOR II (Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords) with family sharing. It is not installed on any other computer, yet I cannot play it because another person is playing and therefore it says I have to purchase. Could this be altered where two people cannot play the same game at the same time, but they can at different times. And another alteration would be to play games at any time with family sharing without purchase getting in the way. Besides it's family sharing, anyone should play at whatever time they want.

what you want and what steam says are two different things.

Can two users share a library and both play at the same time?
No, a shared library may only be played by one user at a time including the owner and even if they want to play different games.

It already works this way. That is the whole point of it. Maybe the other one is still logged in?

Two people can not play the same game at the same time when you only own one copy. There are some exceptions.

No I am the one that has KOTOR II installed on my computer. The other person I'm sharing with doesn't.

Correct. I understand that. Are you sure they are not logged in to the game?

You can not share and play games at the same time while online. The person sharing the game must go into offline mode first.

Offline Mode - How To's - Knowledge Base - Steam Support

And if both of you want to play and the game is in both your libraries but sharing chooses the wrong one, use SFS Select...

You both should use it.
