Dubbed or Subbed Anime?

What do you prefer to watch? That is, if you even watch Anime at all.

Sub unless the dub is really genuinely good quality (Samurai Champloo, The Wind Rises, or Gurren Lagann, for example.)

Always subbed, for everything I watch (movie, tv show, anime, etc).
I'm a purist in that sense.

Subbed Anime

I've tried dubbed multiple times and not gonna try it ever again.

• I do it for cultural appropriation, this also includes outside of anime.
  
• Its not censored because of the sensitive westerners wanting to have certain scenes cut out or a simple reason is that they can't dub certain scenes.
  
  PS: If you're going to dub something, dub the entire thing! This includes the singing part and so on.
  
  
  1. Girls und Panzer dub removed Katyusha singing part because they couldn't sing it in dub.
     
     
  2. Kill la Kill dub cropped the video to get rid of certain panty shots making the quality ratio awful to look at.
  
  
• Dub voice acting are terrible, most of them are monotone and sounds quite really off putting. Most English dub voice actor just do it for the living with no enthusiasm or interest on what they're voice acting at compared to the original voice overs.
  
  
  1. They mostly change the character's personality most of the time and its ridiculous. If you have your favorite character because of that personality and you watch dubbed, its completely a different person now.
  
  
• Audio quality is bad, certain soundtracks are replaced. It feels like a homemade video that you mute the audio, download anime soundtracks then put it again and replaced with a royalty free soundtrack.
  
  
  1. Aria The Scarlet Ammo dub uses poor quality mic that's like recorded from a phone and just replaced gun shots with something else.

Ad Argue Yu Gi Oh Dub soundtrack and openings are one of the better, hell even voice acting, until maybe like 3rd season of GX and, i guess parts of Original, after that i just, Yu Gi Oh after that gets weirded than usual for me so its, eh whatever.

I dont mind dub if quality is good. Single voice is ok.
I luv ReAnimedia (russian) dubs. Haibane Renmei feels better than original.
Good russian dubs -> english dubs -> sub.

Mostly because sub may feel like spoilers (when they put 3 rows of text at same time which characters will read for 20 sec), dont fit voicing time (and i hate pausing anime to read subs) or use lame fonts.

I searched a Yu Gi Oh clip on YouTube and compared sub vs dub and I couldn't say the same unless you provide a comparison here.

You do know its a turn off to see and hear things like that right? Well I do care for one.

yes, its called "spoiler"
the original dub doesnt mention it yet disney thinks its a good idea to add one, implying the viewers are too dumb to understand film context
by "spoiler" i dont mean the character telling the viewer what will happend exactly, rather telling you a hint that you can expect what will happen

Dubbed is a must. I don’t wanna spend my time looking at subtitles. And Funimation actually has good voice actors.

Most anime openings contains spoilers already of the plot tho..

I don't know what comparison you went so i can be 50/50 on what i put and what you saw, but lets say you saw like Season 3 of GX or something near finals of any Yu Gi Oh, there is an obvious change in tone and what not and it will bother many, but ill put something i like, in GX Season 2 one of episodes has a guy MR X, an assassin being sent to well, the plot of Season 2, in Sub its alot darker, calmer, ussually no music, just building up and up, and then sudenly near end it all goes down, with Dub, he is more of this, persona that fits his deck, don't wanna go into great detail since its gonna spoil if someone wants to see it, but while it isn't as serious as in the Sub, the Dub quite fits on the personality, and there is always sound and not this odd silence and the finale felt better since in Sub it seemed just to pop up, though i guess audio work with music and such is a personal thing, i do feel Dub did away since i think it fit and that it did well what it wanted to do in that scene.
