Locker rooms
They still make people use locker rooms to dress for PE... at least they don’t make people shower anymore YIKES

What are your thoughts/opinions?

Not in front of a bunch of people

My lockers still had showers in them and it was optional to use them. Some of the girls did use them to wash their hair if they really wanted to.

If you were uncomfortable, we were allowed to change in the bathroom stalls but there was usually a line for that.

It basically boils down to. In PE you sweat, you dont wanna sweat in your regular clothes for class. Locker rooms are the efficient way of everyone getting changed, has been standard. Shouldn't be that big a deal.

In my class everyone hated one guy so in locker room, we would throw stuff at him, it was great time.

Why yes... yes, I do. Changing in a bathroom, in front of a toilet is disgusting. Not even in my trashiest nights have I ever done something so gross.
And I was thinking those funds can go to something a little more important than individual rooms.

Like a new football field? Yes, much better use.

once at my school the female PE teacher called in sick so boys and girls classes merged. I had to sit in the boys locker room while the teacher explained what the class was going to do. (yes the boys already changed and so did we in our locker room)

anyway, it smelled pretty bad and that was before anyone got sweaty from PE lol.
No one really cared at my school what you looked like. Go in, change, and be out before the bell rang.

???

How do they deal with the stench?
Spraying Axe like it is going out of style. The reason they banned cigarettes is because they were afraid the school would explode. My under 18 coworkers confirm that it hasn’t gotten any better since I left.

I had no problem with my schools locker room, it was pretty much kept clean for the most part and we used the showers here and there if you really needed it, other than the idiots that thought they were k00l picking on the out of shape guys, being loud and stupid and some of the other stupid things that went on in the locker room it was a decent part of my high school life.

I disliked how all the bathroom stalls were occupied by girls, who were too scared to change in front of other girls. Sometimes I needed to take a leak, and I’d find myself waiting to use the stall for its actual purpose.

I never understood the fear in changing, too. It’s not like you’re naked in the process, or everyone’s got their eyes on you. Undergarments are practically swimwear.
The only thing that happened in middle school was I had my finger get smashed open. It required three stitches. It was an accident so there were no hard feelings

It’s different for guys, you can walk around without a shirt, we’re consistently sexualized in undergarments on TV, the internet, posters, and by people. Schools have dress codes that are pretty much made specifically for us so we don’t even show so much as the skin on our shoulders. it creates this deep seeded fear of anyone ever seeing you in anything other than your regular clothes. That includes pj’s and even swimwear. I don’t even swim in public pools unless nobody’s around.

Although I’m probably the exception not the rule as I’m quite modest compared to other people.

No one showered after PE in my school as I recall, but everyone changed at their locker.
