What is your deepest fear about space?
I fear we're going to discover something we'll wish we never discovered in the first place.

Not going to work. The gases in the atmosphere will be moving faster than the escape velocity of the moon so you'll have to keep pumping air. You will be running out of moon rocks eventually.

Easy

Build giant domes on the Moon that allow some freedom to move.

But we won't go there because the Moon Nazis will be angry
Well, I also heard that we already have a huge moon base at the far side; 1969 was not the first time humans had landed on the moon. We also already have bases on Mars and 36 countries are invovled. :split:

A more interesting way of doing that would be a high-temperature plasma field. It's not Star Trek - that actually works as a way of keeping air in - or out - of a space. They're also extremely effective at repelling Nazis, Moon or otherwise.

I mean domes would be easier and a hell of a lot more practical, but come on. Let's live a little. We're going into freakin' space, why not fulfil some fantasies.

Space the final frontier
These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise
It's 5 year mission to seek out new life, new worlds, and boldly go beyond......

yadda yadda. Let's blow stuff up
Let's start by blowing up the Sun. It's a giant ball of fusion fuel waiting to be detonated all at once.

You would suffer the effects of hypoxia and that is supposed to be pleasant till you die.

First of all, having experienced Hypoxia first-hand I wouldn't describe it as pleasant. It's a very unnerving experience and not something I'd ever want to repeat. Secondly, assuming your oxygen supply cuts out immediately then you'll lose awareness very quickly. Maybe 20-30 seconds, a minute at maximum.

I don't think you understand how Nuclear Fusion works.

At least I know the Sun is incapable of nuclear fusion by pressure and thermal energy.

I don't think we could........ Not with today level tech
We would need a way to increase the temperatures inside the sun to 100 million K and above. Maybe some advanced aliens could.

Like Arthur C. Clarke famous qoute and seen in the XCOM: Enemy Unknow intro.

Two possibilities exist:
Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not.
Both are equally terrifying.

Space plague
Or some piece of space technology that would make one nation superior,
That would suck

My deepest fear about space is black holes. They are just so mysterious and powerful, the sheer nature of them is terrifying.

I also have a weird awkward feeling when I look at photos of distant galaxies and celestial bodies. It feels like I'm going to get teleported there or something if I focus on it for too long. it's weird man.

I got that feeling when playing SpaceEngine, Universe Sandbox. (especially in VR) Also, trying to supercharge the Frame Shift Drive inside the energy cone of a fast spinning pulsar (and the eerie noice it makes) in Elite Dangerous scares the crap out me everytime.
