do visual novels even count as games
seems more like picture books for adults but on the computer

edit: from what everyone has told me, they are modern text adventure games!

Adults or angsty teens?
mimizukari May 31, 2017 @ 4:14pm
yes, they do. and visual novel is a very broad genre, even hyperdimension neptunia series is a visual novel.

and waifu, sorry to burst your bubble but http://store.steampowered.com/app/412830 is for anyone but teens, the language and topics covered + all of the gore included a teen would run away from instantly.

They can be games but not all of them are games.

"games" where the gameplay is reading an entire story

They up my game counter so Valve seems to say so. Good enough for me.

Picture books are fun, just as well.

The Witcher 3 is basically a visual novel.

know what doesn't up my game counter? actual anime. rip. and I mean, at 99-1.99 an ep they are pretty cheap but ton of crapware 0.10-99 cent games on steam @_@

this logic totally works, kek.

Nah, but guild wars 2 pretty much is (for the main story quests) it does visual novel style dialogue exchanges.

they are novels. visual novels are games, even kinetic visual novels. the definition of game is the one that's very vague, it can just be an activity

Look, OP.

Sooner or later in life you'll have to learn that your worth is not determined through derision and ridicule of what you don't like or understand or both. You gotta stand on your own two feet and make something out of yourself rather than hope diverting attention away from yourself is going to get you through.

Going all "Tee hee those visual novels and people who play them are silly" just signifies that you're still a child who has yet to make the first steps towards being an own person.

I think one is making too much of this.
