Choppy Audio From CD's
Wondering if anyone can help, lately when i put a cd into my pc to play or rip it the audio comes back distorted and choppy. I know this isn't the cd's fault as when i was driving home i put in Opeth's damnation and everything was fine. But as soon as i try to play it through my pc it's just choppy, can anyone help?

Well if the PC plays fine in the car's CD drive, it's obvious that your PC DVD/CD drive is failing. They tend to die a lot, but they only cost like 15 ~ 20$.
What software u using to rip the CDs with on PC?
How old is the drive?
Did you try other music/audio CDs?
Run a benchmark on the drive using a Data CD (like a game disc or your OS disc).

Parkdale[thesz.diecru.eu] is a free app that can benchmark any type of drive (SSD, HDD, ODD, USB, Flash, etc.)

Check your Sound Card settings under Windows Playback/Recording Devices > Sound Device > Properties > Advanced > Default Format. If it is set to anything 24bit, that may explain the CD skipping. Try switching this to 16bit; either 44000hz or 48000hz. Either one should be fine. Apply and then reopen your player and try your music cd.
