AMD Radeon HD 7000's

Nvidia GTX 700's

The AMD Radeon HD can be found for $240-$300 if on sale, here is the best few on Newegg now:
Best price for running at stock speed if you don't want to overclock it yourself HD 7950 Boost Edition 850Mhz with 925Mhz boost:
PowerColor AX7950 3GBD5-2DHV4 Radeon HD 7950 Boost State 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
Free 4 games w/ purchase, limited offer

Best for if you want to do a little overclocking, HD 7950 factory overclock 900mhz with triple fan, can *probably* hit 1000+mhz without any problem and without changing voltage only just moving the Mhz slider:
GIGABYTE GV-R795WF3-3GD Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
Free 4 games w/ purchase, limited offer

Both come with 4 free games. I think it's a better offer than any Nvidia cards right now.
HD 7950 Boost State, single fan:

Unless your current one has 2 PCIe 6+2 pin connectors and is like 80 Plus Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum and gives 460w continous you will also need a new Power Supply Unit (PSU) with 2 PCIe 6+2 pin connectors and at least 500w continous power. Even if yours might be good enough now you still might want to upgrade anyways, just to leave room for overclocking or later crossfire. THe minimum these cards say is required is 500w but that is any old 500w.
Here are some I recommend:
This one is really nice, 80 Plus Gold efficiency certified and fully modular:
XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207029
80 Plus Platinum certified but not modular:
Rosewill FORTRESS-750 750W Continuous @50°C, Intel Haswell Ready, 80 PLUS PLATINUM, ATX12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, SLI/CrossFire Ready, Active PFC Power Supply
+ 20% off w/ promo code EMCXPVN34, ends 6/30
Either 750w one will likely be enough for you to add another graphics card in Crossfire in the future or to get a higher powered card as a replacement or headroom for whatever else. The second one has a 7 year warranty I believe and the first is 5 years. The energy savings over those years can really add up to some significant $ if you use it lots.
This will get the job done for one card and is still 80 Plus Gold and fully modular:
HighPower Astro GD 500W, 80+ Gold, Single +12 Rails, SLI/Cross Fire ready, Full Module, Active PFC Power Supply
+ 20% off w/ promo code HPPSU20JUN13, ends 6/30

This will get the job done for one card, is fanless and thus silent, 80 Plus Platinum and not modular:
Rosewill SilentNight-500 500W Continuous @50°C, Intel Haswell Ready, 80 PLUS PLATINUM, ATX12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, SLI/CrossFire Ready, Fan-less Active PFC Power Supply
Hardware Secrets Golden Award, SilentPCReview Editor Choice Award
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182169
This will get the job done cheapest in the short term for one card, is 80 Plus Bronze certified and so will save less $ on electricity than Gold or Platinum certified in the long run:
COOLER MASTER i500 RS500-ACAAB1-US 500W lntel ATX 12V V2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC (>0.9 typical) PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Lastly if you want to do massive overkill on the PSU and want one of the better consumer PSU available on newegg that can support 2 CPUs on one board (i7 Extreme, Xeon or Opteron for example) and at least 3 way HD 7950 crossfire this one is what I have (and it's overkill for my current system):
OCZ ZX Series 1250W Fully-Modular 80PLUS Gold High Performance Power Supply compatible with Intel Haswell Core i3/i5/i7 and AMD Phenom
