New Youtube anti-adblock tactic- being a resource hog

Looks like Youtube is making Chrome run slower by artificially increasing CPU usage when it detects adblock. The kicker is this affects Youtube premium members as well. Really makes me question the value of Youtube premium when they do scorched earth tactics like this.

Not my problem, I have been always using Firefox before chrome existing.

...finally one has to pay for it. what is the problem? it could have been expected, because adblockers etc are saving ones money, which is "thieving"...the modern way. i dont like this. just my opinion. i use, since 3 months or so, default youtube with ads. i am used to it now and i dont see a problem.

Youtube is getting bloat and bloater

now they increase CPU whenever it detect adblock now great lets switch to alternative front-end.

No - I pay for a good ad blocker. I would pay more to the ad blocker developers if required to improve the blocking functionality.
