wtf is with the PS5 stand ?

placing the console vertically all it does is build heat underneath and the console gets pretty hot even now in January in the middle of winter, during summer there's no way this console will survive vertically in my room ,

so I can't help but wonder if the vertical position is a design flaw because placing it horizontally the console doesn't get hot whatsoever

When vertical there are no vents located at the bottom on the original PS5 so no heat exhausts at the bottom. All the heat exhausts out the back whether vertical or horizontal.
