Fractal Node 304- Need some suggestions.....
I am building a 2nd computer for the wife and kids and it will also be used a a media pc for the living room. I decided to get the Fractal design Node 304 on account of its looks and solid construction,I also purchased the Gigabyte F2A88XN-WI-FI mini-itx motherboard,Tommorow I will be buying a full modular Psu so leaning towards the Corsair RM series 650 watt what do you think>? The only part iam confused about is which to get the A10-6800K vs the a10 7850 k (kalveri)>? I have a spare Radeon 6970 I mounted in the Node and it fits perfectly, so either hybrid crossfire vs the single Radeon 6970? Whats a card I can use for crossfire with the 6800k>? I heard you need a 6570 or a 6670........Those range in the $50-$75 dollar range but I also have an option to use a Gtx 660 ti for $120- whats your suggestion? I will test the i-gpu on its own, then ill jump on the 6970 to see if theres gonna be a diffrence-There schould be!.... If iam still not happy i can pick up the 660 ti- The monitor will be a regular 1920x1080. Thank you.

the igpu on the 7850k will get you about 70-80fps on team fortres 2 all high settings, with x2 aa.
i had this tested specifically before as im considering making a small build with the 7850k myself, and the 7850k crossfires with r7 250, they arent really fantastic performance though.

Thats great and all but have u tested with any other game>? Like Arkham origins or any type of flight sim maybe>? Dcs world? The radeon number change totally confused things for me lol- I fighured id get the 6800k instead on account of using a discrete gpu.I also heard the 7850k requires a bios update in order to use with fm2 motherboard!~ We had a whole bunch of people return them at our store and they were pissed off, cant say i blame them.Do u know if that issue has been resolved>?

If you have a 6970 and it fits I would recommend getting and Athlon X4 760k which if i'm not mistaken is basically the same CPU as the 7850k and 6800k use but without the integrated graphics. It is significantly cheaper than the APU's ($90). If you are thinking about Hybrid Crossfire I don't think any combination of GPU's would out perform the 6970.

Check out a review on the 7850k here - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/a10-7850k-a8-7600-kaveri,3725-16.html

many things wrong there
i3 or pentium g will beat amd quads, in power and performance
if using a dedicated gpu, why a apu setup?

and thermaltake power supplies are junk, get the cx500 for $50/30ar

2.8ghz intel beats 4ghz amd in single thread
and is still les than 2x in multi thread and overall performance

The reason I choose to build with Amd is 1) price and 2) its my 2nd build iam use to them. I wouldnt use a Thermaltake Psu I said Corsair lol. Is that atalon x4 Fm2+ compatable or no>? I havent had a chance from so much work to just stop and look around lol ( duh ) slaps head!..... I like Amd I wont lie, but I also see myself building an Intel rig once I finish this one! Its kinda to late to change things up now I already bought the Chais,Motherboard, Gpu I already had, Tommorow is the chip and Psu so yeah id like to finish this up according to plan, Once done maybe a Lga 2011?

Ive always been curious about the Richland Apus- They come with a stock clock rate of over 4ghz so iam hoping to hit 4.5-5.0ghz with the right cooling, I dont do any video editing so theres no point going Intel on this build-all that really matters here is Price and gaming performance, If we can get a steady 60 fps with 1 1920x1080 monitor or maybe 3 i will be a happy camper. I will report back to you guys once I have everything installed, well do some benchmarks?.....Also iam thinking to get a SSD Samsung 120 evo or crucial 500? Maybe even the Hyper x>? 120 gb plus 1tb external hdd.

Interesting review I read on that atahlon- Thank you btw for posting that.I wasnt even aware these existed ( It must have flew right over my head ) lol. But anyway my thoughts on the A10-6800 K iam gonna pick that one up and see how it goes-Price diffrence is only $30 bucks so no biggie really. Amd is really strong on the I-gpu side-Its much much faster then ANYTHING intel has to offer with a much better price!.......And while we are all fan boys one way or another just dont be suprised if Intel and Amd have an aggrement to take all of our money while making it look like they are actually competing in the market! Amd has the oppterunity to shove it to intel but will they>? I hope so!

the amd apus gpu is strong, but useless if your using a dedicated card
mika (Banido(a)) 6 mar. 2014 às 3:25
Well in short iam gonna test out the i-gpu to see how well it works. If its able to run basic games with decent (fps) and eye-candy ill keep it on the i-gpu if not, I have that xtra Radeon 6970 I can use for a boost! I am really curious about the hybrid crossfire,it says in the motherboard book I need a Radeon 6000 series gpu to crossfire with so iam guessing the 6670>?
