No sound coming out from my monitor (ASUS ROG PG35V)

Hello,

I have no sound coming out from my monitor while using Display Port or HDMI cable. The monitor is currently selected as the sound device (ROG PG35V NVIDIA High Definition Audio).

The sound is set to max and not on mute through the monitor settings. I can't figure it out. My second monitor which uses HDMI does have sound.

Am I missing something here? The monitor is a new purchase (product is in brand new condition), so I've never actually had sound come out yet.

When I play a video, I can see the audio bar flickering but no sound is coming out.

I just took a quick look. I do not see where it says that the monitor has speakers. Maybe it has an output jack to connect to powered speakers.

You actually may be correct... I will check.
