Can't change controller

Hi guys,
Seems my controller suddenly switched or is no longer recognized by the game. Y is no longer for calling the horse, A is no longer for interacting with stuff. Moreover, the right joystick now only aims left and right, but up and down don't work.

I can't play the game like this XD. I already tried in the settings but I can't switch the buttons there, nor the joystick. Maybe there was a patch that screwed it over?

steam -> library -> select game -> controller config -> browse configs -> select default and apply

Depending on the controller, there might be a switch you flicked on the controller itself or a button input you pressed while plugging it in that changed compatibility modes. X-input controls are usually fixed button mappings.

Unfortunately, you'll have to check the documentation for the controller itself to determine if this is possible and how to fix it if so.
