Lenovo Ideapad - Gaming
Hi,

I've just got my first gaming laptop and so far im pretty impressed with Lenovo. They keyboard is excellent and although the laptop is mainly plastic if feels really nice.

The specs are:

Intel Core i5-10300H CPU @ 2.50Ghz 4 cores
RAM - 8GB, with one free slot max upgrade to 32GB.
SSD - 256GB however also has a free slot available

It's not top of the line but the types of game im interested in it does the job and much more.

Lenovo ideaPad are the only good laptops they make besides their newer Legion series.

I'd suggest to take the time and save from a headache though by making your own Win10 64bit usb flash drive. Then wipe out their drive fully. Then clean install the OS which will be the latest 2004 and then install all your drivers from Lenovo support and the touch pad software.

Then you'll have a clean laptop without all the junk. Lenovo is notorious for having tons of pre-installed junk.

It's a cool entry level laptop, it'll run just about any game in your Steam library medium to high settings, ultra for older titles. I would of suggested you go no lower than GTX 1660ti but you'll have plenty fun with a 1650.

Cities Skylines, The Forest
Civilization VI

Get another 8gb ddr4 that matches what's already installed, check what's installed using the CPUZ app. Get a 1TB ssd.

Yeah i was thinging that. I can go up to 32gb max. For the SSD, ive done some research on them and they are much better but much more expensive. It has 256gb SSD currently and im filling it fast.

Dont max out ram unless you plan on doing video production or anything else that relies heavily on ram. You should upgrade your storage though. You can buy a 1tb hardrive for games, and keep the windows os on the ssd.
