Need help picking a compatible SSD and Ram
I have a 1060 3Gb i7 8700k my motherboard is MSI Z730-A Pro

For RAM: Any DIMM-sized DDR4. That board supports up to 4000MHz.

If you go for OC'd memory, you'll have to enable XMP under BIOS to get it above 2133MHz.


As for SSDs, there's one M.2 slot and 6 SATA3 ports. SATA3 SSDs are probably your bet, but you'd get the best speed with a NVMe SSD put into your M.2 slot.

If you just bought that cpu and motherboard, return it. The Ryzen 5 3600 is half the cost of the 8700k and is pretty close in performance.
