Xonar DGX Audio Center Issue
[running this on windows 10]

Hey guys, so I just got a new sound card because my on board audio was busted. So I put the sound card (asus xonar dgx) in the PCI slot, and put the disc in, and everything worked fine. Well, except a couple things.

First off, I was going to try optical audio for the first time, and plugged the cable into the card and into my Razer Leviathan speaker. I tried everything I could, from checking the cables to updating the drivers, but for some reason it didn't work.

Second of all, I plugged in my microphone, and it didn't work at all. My headset does output sound, however. I plugged my Razer Electra in with the mic/headphone splitter and only the audio worked.

I read online that to fix this you need to tick something in the "Xonar Audio Center". I have that, with the download from the disc and everything, but when I click on the program to open up, it just doesn't open.

I have an underlying suspicion that it might have something to do with windows 10...but there should be a workaround, right?

Anyway, if anybody could help me I would really appreciate this. Thanks.

simple: asus soundcards sometimes work...just say no and find an easy cheap usb audio dongle. they sound the same (nearly) like your onboard audio. i tried it...very good choice.
kind regards

Try to get a newer driver as you have on the included CD. I also have a Xonar DGX and it works fine under Win 10.
Alternatively you can use a third party driver made for Xonar cards - UniXonar.

Back when I used the Xonar DGX, I found that the driver wasn't really the best and I would regularly have issues. I'd suggest using the unofficial driver from here http://uni.maxedtech.com/asus-xonar-unified-drivers/

I had a better experience with the unofficial driver and, while I can't guarantee the same for you, I think that it's worth a shot for you to try.

I have this audio card and it's very good, without it music is flat and boring, even same song is almost crap without it. What i need is a setting to save the total settings i have made, not only for example equalizer setting or something else but save in profile the total setting.
