I have had bad experiences with Razer and Logitech G, especially at my workplace gaming cafe.
With Razer you are required to make a personal account with the spyware ridden Razer Synapse software. Also, reliability is meh.
With the Logitech G, there’s a lot of mice including their G703 and G903 that is having double clicking issues. I had 2 G703s that had double clicking less than a year each despite me not using them heavily.
You can check up on Amazon reviews and Reddit. These large companies are cutting corners and focusing on more profit rather than reliability due to their establishments.
Don’t follow them.
Recently I sold all my Logitech G gear and went to a more humble brand, which is Tecware. Sure, I don’t use “reliable big Brand’s”, but I paid for a semi repairable Mechanical keyboard, RGB mouse and RGB mousepad all for the price of a Logitech G Pro wireless or Razer Viper ultimate
Razor has the better wireless and sensor, but Logitech has the better charger (I mean specifically the powerplay mousepad), but you can use it wired while its charging too, and I don't think you can do that on the Viper.
You aren't going to see that much of a performance difference between either, they're both exceptional mice from a technical standpoint.
The only thing that will effect performance is grip.
If you're more comfortable holding a mouse, you perform better.
So pick which one fits your hand.
How is Synapse spyware? Lmao...

Also, even if Synapse isn't a spyware, I don't see why I need to create an account to access the functionality, unlike other brands.
This is a large problem especially for my workplace's gaming cafe. We use Razer gear and we can't have 100+ accounts just for customer's to control the DPI and RGB, etc. Which is ridiculous.
Plus, I have seen enough dead Blackwidows, Krakens and etc that my boss had to RMA when he initially opened the shop with 100% Razer Hardware, including the laptop, which is a 2015 Razer Blade.
And I myself have also been a 100% Razer gear owner once. I lost a Deathadder 2013, a Blackwidow Chroma, Firefly and Mamba Chroma disconnecting from my system randomly and above all else, the Tiamat 7.1 headset that had driver problems and peeling earcups even when barely used.
The only reliable Razer gear I had was the Abyssus mirror and the original Blackwidow with Cherry MX Blues, given to me free in 2011. It lasted me for 6 years with lots of drops and transportation.
The Synapse software, when you uninstall it, doesn't completely uninstall and it caused continuing issues with the mouse. I had to manually clean the registry before I could re-install the software in hopes of fixing the tracking issues I was constantly having with the mouse. This happened several different times. Uninstall - mouse works great again. Re-install, mouse works great for a while, but the tracking issue comes back....repeat this process 2 other times over the course of about 18 months.
The Synapse software when it ran always forced my GPU to run 3D clock speeds - so the card always ran like it was trying to play a game. If I stopped Synapse from running in the background, the GPU dropped down to 2D speeds. Start the software back up and as it ran in the background, GPU went back to 3D clock speeds. I tried multiple different GPU drivers, uninstalling and re-installing (yes, cleaning out the registry again) of the Synapse software, but the I was always meet with the same results. Synapse forced the GPU to run 3D clock speeds all the time.
I had times the Synapse software just stopped working properly and a basic uninstall (no registry cleaning) and re-install would fix it.
After all the headaches and irritations from the Razer mouse that finally broke (wheel stopped responding to clicks and rolls and the left mouse button had to be pressed hard - by hard I mean pressing it as hard as you could with your finger to register a button press) a week after the warranty expired and with all the problems with the Synapse software, I swore off Razer.
I've been using my Logitech G502 for the past 3, almost 4 years now and I've had zero issues. It's been a fantastic mouse. I even picked up a second one as a spare about 2 years ago should something happen with the one I'm using. I can't speak for the newer Logitech hardware, but my G502 has been amazing.
I've had a few logitech mice switches die fast, rubber coatings completely destroyed from light use.
I have nothing against them as a brand, you just have to buy products on an individual basis, not based on brand.
Though, some of the issues on Logitech mice ; Left and right mouse double clicking (sometimes out of the box), scroll wheels reporting being scrolled the wrong way, or not scrolling at all, and sensors not tracking properly.
I've had issues with logitech before, but funny enough, not with Razer.
I've got a Deathadder Chroma (which I've recently put in storage), that lasted me almost 6 years now, and the only two issues I had were middle mouse button not working, and right mouse button broke.
Taking it apart, and soldering new switches into it, it works good as new.
(Though in taking it apart I kinda ruined the mouse feet, so I have get some new feet, I'm thinking one of the older deathadders with wide pads.)
And my Blackwidow Chroma, which I've had no issues with since I got it a year and a half ago.
My point?
Quality is on a per case basis. No one thing has perfect quality.
Buying for brand doesn't always mean you'll get a good product.
(Though one could make an argument for the brands reutrns and warranty, which is fine.)
