Adaptive VSync
Um, why is it not in my control panel anymore? I need it for GTA V where I hit 60FPS 80% of the time but when it drops it stutters. And there's way too much screen tearing without it but I can deal with it if it's only rarely, momentarily. Any way to get it back?

If it's for some reason missing from NVidia Control Panel - you can set it via NVidia Inspector. Unless you're running a laptop, as this requires screen to be connected to NVidia graphics card.
Yeah I had a look through Inspector but couldn't find it. Is it one of those bunch of numbers and letters?
Find "Vertical Sync", choose "Force on". Find "Vertical Sync Tear Control", choose "adaptive". You can also combine adaptive with 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4 VSync if, for example, you have 120Hz monitor but want to only play at 60fps.

Glad to help!

When you have some free time, check out Scanline Sync. It can work as both forced VSync and adaptive VSync, but add less input latency than VSync.
