msi dragon center overclocking help
i have a msi ge72mvr apache pro and i recently used dragon center to overclock the cpu and gpu to see if i get any performance boosts. well when i tried to revert the changes and go back to normal settings it seems my cpu is permantly overclocked and wont revert back to normal base speeds and now causes my cpu to reach temps of 80-90c. i just dont want to stress my cpu considering this is a laptop i do always use the cooler boost option as well as a laptop fan but i just dont like those high temps and my cpu being permantly overclocked.my question is, is there anyway to fix this? is this even bad?

Don't use programs like Dragon Center to OC the CPU... They are more often useless garbage that cranks the voltage way too much for the resulting frequencies

oc on notebook is always a bad idea

reset bios, disable all startup programs
if its still oc, reinstall windows

Laptops = wipe the drive fully and clean install latest Win10 64bit 1909 and don't reinstall all their software, just the drivers from laptop maker.

Reset the bios.
