Question to those who own a rival 600 mouse
Have you had any problems with the glue or the side grip rubbers sliding off?
Been preparing to get the mouse for months but some of these reviews are making me sceptical

Don't own one. I wouldn't worry. Check its warranty. Sure it'll have 1+ year warranty so buy it and return for refund/replacement from the store if the glue is poor. Send it for repair/replacement to manufacturer under warranty. If outside of warranty reglue it yourself.

I've seen complaints of Logitech G502 braided cable unravelling. I've had mine for over a year and there is nothing wrong with my cable. Well besides its a dust magnet on a mouse mat but thats not really a fault.

Amazon will be a 30 day return. Steelseries is a 1 year US and Asis, 2 year in the EU https://support.steelseries.com/hc/en-us/articles/221391568-What-does-my-warranty-cover-and-how-long-does-it-last-

For the little feet bits if they came off I'd just glue the back on myself. Would be cheaper than postage to return. Or you could just ask for new rubber feet to be sent out so you can attach them yourself, probably need to send them a picture that they are missing first. Had to supply images for other warranteed stuff in the past.

If, the glue starts failing you just need to peel the feet of and put a small drop in the centre then place it back on the mouse. Push firmly. If glue oozes out you used too much. Just wipe the excess away with a damp cloth.

Not shipping to your country could be an issue. Try contacting Steelseries directly and ask questions. Dont try via Amazon, use their own site. Should be able to find a support email address using the link posted earlier. Companies will be more than happy to answer questions of a potential customer.

If that isn't good enough consider another mouse.

I'm on my second Rival 600. The first lasted 7 months before the grips started sliding off. The second I've had for less than a month and I'm starting to notice it again. Other than that it's great. Buyer beware.

Let me put in my 5 cents.
In short - glue is a problem. I believe they glue them with snot.
Glue came out, it doesn't hold slides in place and as the cherry on top of the pie, it smudges over the mouse just by the fact you are using it.

Don't get me wrong. I love the mouse, it's very precise and cool, but I hate the glue problem.

I'm gentle with mice and try to keep them in a good condition so they can last, but with Rival 600 it's impossible. I had to file replacement claim half a year later because it becomes completely unusable (glue was everywhere regardless of all attempts to keep it clean).
Unfortunately, the replacement had the same problem after a month.

By now, a year later I have three Rival 600 which have sides peeling off and glue smudging everywhere every time you use it.

I don't want to give up on this excellent mice and will replace sides with something more robust like hockey tape Lizard Skin.
SteelSeries doesn't sell side grip replacement for Rival 600, but I've seen on youtube some people do it as DIY for other mice.
For the reference to choose a tape: Rival 600 sides grip have a thickness of 0.88m

If you are a handyman and not afraid to do an easy fix - you'll be ok.

I used to have a rival 650, wireless version of 600. I had no problems other than is just wasn't for me. It's an amazing mouse. You should buy one.

I took the side parts off and washed the thing behind where the part was. It's retarded.

One thing to note about this mouse is the detachable cable, stupid design in my opinion, "bUt ThEn YoU cAn RePlaCE ThE CabLE" being able to replace the cable isn't worth the constant cutting out my copy has, its absolutely unbearable, and unacceptable for a gaming mouse in my books.

Yes, the stock grips do slide off. I got my Steelseries from a friend who also used it. By now it's about a year its been in use for. However, the Rival 600 is a great mouse, and I suggest you get it but replace the grips with grip tape or anything grippy that uses a different glue. I have also seen on Reddit that Steelseries knows about the glue melting so maybe one day in the future it'll be fixed.

From customer perspective - melting glue is unacceptable. This is not what you paid for.
From professional - Quality Control is under the question mark.

Two years down after buying THREE of them a month apart I can say - they all suffered from the same issue of melting glue (facepalm). WTF It's not worth the price all the hassle of replacing them.

Down the line:
- Once mice have replaced pads
- Second have stripped pads
- Third is "in progress"

Is the mice is good and precise and accurate? - YES.
Would I recommend it? NO. It's DIY required time and more spending and not for the price they charge you!

You're almost a year and a half late to the party.

Not at all as I started it and that's my year and that's the feedback for anyone with similar issue.

The end story is: It's a manufacture issue.

The Solutions:
1. Fix it yourself
2. Strip the pads
3. Refund

I did all of them and can say I like new pads I put in. So worth trying :thumb up:
