Windows 10 LTSB ?
Hello, I just want totally get rid of windows 10 Microsoft store and it's features including all those ugly and useless apps. I was using windows 7 before and after I built my new computer I got windows 10 and after that I missed how simple windows 7 were, so I found out about windows 10 LTSB and like one guy said on some other forums '' the windows 7 of windows 10'' and that's something what exactly I was looking, but one question, it is good for gaming? I am using my pc mostly for gaming. I have gtx 1070ti and ryzen 5 2600x. Thank you for answers

I wouldn't take the risk of running a modified OS on a gaming build. Games are specifically built for stock Win10.

There's nothing you can do about the MS store. Some specific Apps you can remove, but they may come back again with later updates. Your best option is just learning to accept Win 10 for what it is. It's far from perfect, but as gamers we're stuck with it for the forseeable future.

What exactly does 7 have that's not in 10?

Use shutup10 to disable all the crap.

You could always go back to Win7 - I think all games I've looked at still support it. Maybe developers are focusing on Win10 these days though so I'd stick with it and ignore / disable things you don't want.

A sense that it's your computer, not Microsoft's?

I'm afraid there's a lot more to it than just software. Win7 isn't compatible with some newer CPUs; unless your PC's hardware dates back 4-5 years to the Win7 era, you really have no choice but to use Win10.

DirectX12, Support after January 2019, Support for modern hardware like AMD RyZEN and the latest Intel CPUs among other things

It's been about 1.5 years since ryzen and kaby lake launched and cut support for old win versions not 4-5 years. So lots of relevant hardware still supports older versions of windows.

But its still windows 10, just a bit different

I also heard that windows 10 LTSB does not support newest nVidia drivers, is that true? But One guy said he was using LTSB with 1070 ti as well and he didint had any problems, he even had VR Headset

I am not really sure if its good idea, you see, i tried software called "kill windows 10 spying" and it didint really helped, some apps were removed, some just broken and some just got back after being removed and also it messed up windows updates, i was getting errors,i tried to restore, but didnt worked, Then i tried restoring again and i lost windows and antivirus licenses 😂

No reason if LTSB will cause issues and whatnot you just need https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10 to shut up cortana and other junk.

Been using it with all 4 of my gaming rigs and never had one issue ever over the last year or so with any programs or windows itself.

LTSB sounds much more iffy with support and not really for gamers.

As for removing the store I don't think shutup10 will do that, it's more to kill cortana and other info gathering services and stuff like that.

After I run shutup10 I just removed the win store icons and I have no clue it's even around.
