MAX TEMPERATURE and MAX OC for STABLE OC with GTX 1060
hi,

I would know how to set a stable and safe OC on a GTX 1060, what should be the temperature limit and the max mhz on OC?

Someone said gpus could manage 85 c safe, someone said not to go above 80 someone 90 c, and for OC mhz someone 2060 someone 2100 and above.

I would insert the GTX 1060 (gigabyte WINDFORCE or MSI gaming) in a xpredator x1 case with a frontal fan and a rear fan.

Varies depending on which 1060 you've got. Generally speaking an Asus Strix or MSI Gaming X can be overclocked further than say, a Gigabyte Windforce or Zotac AMP! edition. It's a lot of what you're paying for, buying a high-end card.

For newer NVIDIA GPUs from recent years; they are generally preset to throttle @ approx 80*C ~ Yes you can raise this manually (like with MSI Afterburner) but the fact is, your GPU generally should never be getting this hot. If so then I'd be wanting to look at my GPU for dust build-up, ensure its fan(s) are actually working properly, maybe add/expand on my Case Fans for better overall airflow; etc. The actual "overheat" temp is well into the 90*C+ ranges though.
