Nivida controll panel> Configure surround, PhysX> PhysX Settings> Processor> Select your gpu
Because it's a laptop, there is also virtually nothing you can do about it, as they are built so that you cannot disassemble them without breaking every single warranty and possibly the PC itself.
MAYBE you can try cleaning out the filters, but that's hard to do.
EDIT: I'm so tired I can't word right now. Needed to correct things.
Those laptops with full desktop GPUs tend to be around the 3000-10,000$ mark, and are usually impractical as they're freaking huge (The $9000 Acer laptop with a GTX 1070 is as wide as a Full Tower case).
and its not even close to a full tower iv got the 750d by corsair and that laptop is half my cases size. its the similar size a home/office desktop case.
But the 970M is still an unfixable issue due to the way laptops (And Best Buy and it's universal equivalents' devil contracts) work. He'll just have to sell it or live with it.
