Might be overheating. At what temperature are the CPU and GPU running when it starts to lag?

Also how much RAM do you have? And with what games are you experiencing this issue?

The temp on CPU is not going higher than 65C and GPU is never over 45C,i have 4GB RAM,i don't play games that are that heavy i play dota on mid, brawlhalla,League of Legends
Your CPU is overheating it should not go above 60c. Clean your PC of any dust and if that doesn't work reaply thermal paste.

Too hot, not enough RAM.

For a game that i can play with a duo core processor its enough
CPU is too hot, blow out all the dust, stick a Hyper212-EVO on it.
65C is fine for a CPU, I know intels are supposedly safe up to 100C and from what I hear it is normal for AMD CPUs to run hotter than intels. Not that I would reccommend ever getting that close. My i7 950 maxes at 62 under load and is just fine. What GPU and how much RAM do you have?

You also might want to look into overclocking. My i7 950 stock is a bit better than your CPU and I only got 30-40 FPS with a GTX 1060 6GB GPU. Once I overclocked my CPU from 3.06 to 4.0 I get a comfortable 60+ fps with only the occassional lag spike.

No. Wrong..

My 77W CPU is 36 celsius at idle and never goes over 50 even in heaviest gaming and that with a low profile cooler.

65C is too much.
For AMD Phenom II CPUs that's rather warm, 60°C should be the max for those. I have one myself.

I don't understand why do you guys talk about heavy gaming where i play dota on mid settings that a dual core 2.5 can play with solid 60 fps
Then you should ask yourself why a CPU is getting that warm when it's not even taxed.
62c is the limit, when using the stock cooler it's easy to hit 55c and over.

What I found at 55c-58c is it gets buggy/glitchy so stick a 212evo on it and call it a day it'd be hard pressed to shoot over 42c - 45c on a hot day running P95.

Edit, yup, x4 965be stock clocks leveled out at 43c with P95 small ffts on a 212 plus hsf.
