Their main focus seems to be on porn, mostly stuff relating to sexual violence or anything to do with kids.
It's been what, 2 weeks since this stuff first happened? Nothing new has happened and is unlikely to.
Those games weren't purged, they were taken down and then reinstated under more appropriate categories. You can literally go to Itch right now and see them.
If and when they start coming for our more normal games, then we can riot, but not a moment before. People are giving these fringe groups far too much credit and the belief they have more power than they do.
But, if push comes to shove and they start really going after games where it makes no sense to me. I'm gonna riot. (Figuratively.)

Where are you finding the information of them having ties to the Australian Government? The only reference I can find is one of their team members used to work for the Government (didn't say State or Federal) in the admin department.

They weren't forced to remove any of that. They CHOSE to temporarily remove all their NSFW games, likely in order to give them time to adequately re-classify them (as has been pointed out).
Oof. Accusations of misinformation IMMEDIATELY followed by (and preceded by) misinformation? This is why it's often hard to take gamers and their outrage campaigns seriously. They often don't even care enough about what they're outraged about to even get the facts straight.
