Sort library by operating system
Every now and then I see Windows users curious about Linux but they don't know how many and which of their games are available on Linux as Steam doesn't have a fast and easy way for one to check. Linux users advise them on sign up to some website (SteamDB if I recall correctly) and find out there by linking their Steam account.

Instead of going through the tedious task of checking each game individually, or linking your Steam account to a website, why not allow users to sort their library by operating system from within Steam?

Linux users already have "SteamOS + Linux" and "Games", the latter referring to Windows games. I assume the same goes for those on Mac OS. Linux users cannot check which of their games work on Mac OS, however, and Mac OS users cannot check which work on Linux, and Windows users cannot check for either of the two.

Why not allow users to sort their library by operating system to see how many and which of their games are available on other operating systems? With Steam Machines coming out soon, that may very well be beneficial.

Edit: Turns out SteamDB doesn't require one to sign up or link their Steam account, but it would still be great if one could do it from within Steam. Not every Steam user knows about SteamDB after all.

I do agree, and things like these was asked before
How ever i think it be better if it also allow you to pick any OS, so also users that may think abut getting a Mac, or users that think abut getting a Windows system (when will have games that support linux, but not windows :D:) will be able to know that
+1

Not everyone has all their games installed.

Nope, only those with that OS can filter by what games are on it. Linux users can filter by Linux-only games and Mac users can filter by Mac-only games, but Linux users can't see which games work on Mac and Mac users can't see which games work on Linux, and Windows users can't filter by either. So, users of other platforms have no idea which of their games work or don't work (and therefore have no idea whether they can switch and keep their favorite games).

Indeed, as explained in the opening post.

Yeah, +1.

Will probably never be done though, as it will be seen as confusing by most Windows users.
Steam support will reliably get messages like: “Ugh what is this STEAMOS thing in the menu, what does it DO?!?!?!”
