RDR2 or Cyberpunk 2077 has it, for example. When the game with this is in wishlist you can't see the original price and the price cut. Yes, you can check it by clicking the game, but it's obnoxious extra step for no reason at all.

Yeah, the wishlist is acting weird, i have a couple of games in there that show no discount yet when i go to their store page they have one. Usual start of summer/ winter sales server stuff i guess.

This was changed for some users due to a new EU directive (apparently):

This is god-awful, because you now have to manually calculate how much of a slice of price it is, or check something like steamdb instead for a clearer picture.

I don't understand why this necessitated removing the % altogether,
but I hate the directive (or how Valve chose to deal with it).

It doesn't. The directive is about transparency in pricing and is fine. Hate Valve for dong a Valve and once again implement it in the most customer-unfriendly way imaginable.
