Community Market ~ Can't Buy Anything?

When I go to buy a trading card or something like that from the Steam Market this sign pops up

To help protect users of the Community Market from fraudulent buyers and sellers, we require that users have made any purchase on steam in the last year, the first of which must've occurred more than 30 days ago. Your account does not meet these criteria.

Just wondering if there was any way to get this to change earlier or is this set in stone? Thanks

Make sure you meet the other requirements like having SteamGuard enabled for at least 15 days and others.

Damn, even if I had purchased games from retail stores and put them into my steam library, that doesn't do anything?

That means that at that point the 30 day counter kicks off. So assuming you enable SteamGuard right now and buy something. You will have to wait for the 30 day cool down to use te Market.

What I don't understand is that I bought Dishonored this year (boxing day from a retail store), the most recent game I have bought is Chivalry on the 28th, so it says I have to wait until July 28th.

Hey i have the same problem but I bought a few keys in the team fortress 2 store last year... I have put up 200 ish items on the market but now I cant remove them and i get the same problem as wandalftheghite... what shoudl i do now :(

why cant i buy anything from the steam market they said my account is unable to use the steam market

You need to buy any game on steam to can use Market!
If you buy game you have 1 year of use market.
then you need to buy another game and again you have 1 year enabled market
