Help us translate Steam

It's embarassing for you people at Steam... I can't believe you have not fixed this bug yet. Do you REALIZE there are thousands of people that CANNOT use the big picture because when you have a wheel plugged in the interface go crazy? is it that difficult to give people the option to at least DISABLE controllers in the Big Picture Mode?
Valve really disappointed me on this matter, really disappointed.
I can propose two solutions:
1) for input peripherals with multiple axis (3 axis plus steering on G27) Big Picture should have a "setting" option to tailor inputs to use the menus (IE directional pad and 4 buttons) [quite cheap to achieve]
2) a setting to outright disable any plugged in controllers in Big Picture mode. [very cheap to achieve]
I hope a company like Valve will listen to us consumers,
thanks
I have a G25 like stated above. I simply stopped using the Big Picture interface... looks like nobody at Valve has a wheel...
I tried rebinding the keys for Big Picture, but it does not seem to be possible.
I appreciate that Valve are still working to make Steam Big Picture Mode better but at the moment it seems to have a lot of small bugs and other limitations so that while the interface looks nice it's not quite there yet.
Off topic, but I am also disappointed that when I go to the Genres section I do not get an option to show ALL GAMES of that genre. Why is it only New Releases, Top Sellers, Specials and so on. I appreciate that I can just go through regular Steam for this but still - it's disappointing.
Fix BPM for Windows first before you screw about trying to make Steam OS. Oh, and Half Life 3. : )
UPD: Found a small temporary solution that still needs to be tested:
Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers and click right mouse on "G27 Racing Wheel" --> "Game controller settings", select "Logitech G27 Racing Wheel USB" and click "Properties". Then go to Settings and check "Combined (single axis - used for most games)" box.
