Lost Rainbow Six Siege Account

I used to play R6S alot. Over 1600hrs played back from in highschool. It has been about 5-6 years since then and I wanted to pick up and play with my buddy for old times sake. I opened up to find that my ubisoft account has been hacked. I had 6 or 7 support tickets to try and recover it with nothing but ubisoft saying that I was screwed and the hackers have full control of it and there was no way to prove the account was mine even though I showed them receipts and game keys from when I purchased the game.

Now I have accepted that I will likely not be able to get my in game stuff back. I want to rebuy the game through steam because even though I still have the game on steam it only lets me play it through the ubisoft account it was activated on. Is there a way to permanently remove the game on steam so that I can repurchase the game to play it? I probably have no way of unlinking the ubisoft account to be honest.

The account linking is done on Ubisoft's end. Either you recover that Ubisoft account or create a new Steam account and a new Ubisoft account, link them and purchase the game again.

The permanently remove function does not unlink the accounts nor does it let you purchase the game you just removed again.
