How Do I Get Terraria On My Mac OS X Yosemite?
When I try to play Terraria, it says Game is currently not available on your platform, what do I do?

You can't do anything. It's not supported by OS X and can only be played on Windows.
Next time you can scroll down in the game's store page to look at the system requirements.

It clearly tells you which OS is supported directly above the Buy Button. There is only a Windows icon, no Mac OS X or Linux icon. That means that only Windows is supported.

Seriously, does no one read the store page before buying a game?

Terraria is now compatible with OS X devices but it is currently only in it's open beta http://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/terraria-1-3-0-7-mac-linux-open-beta.27418/ click this link for more info

This is good news. Do you have to buy the windows version to get the open beta? What do they mean when they mention
WINDOWS DEDICATED SERVER SOFTWARE - TERRARIA 1.3.0.7

Is a windows system required?

Right mouse click the game > Properties > Betas.

Opt-in from there.

When I went to buy Terraria it definitely has Apple OS X as compatible... Clearly it isn't when you try to install it after purchase
