Source Mods Hijacking "Recently Played" List..?
So I usually execute my favourites by right-clicking Steam in the SysTray, which shows the five most-recently played games, then selecting one from this list.

I've recently noticed that this field is being auto-populated by Source Mods (installed but not recently played), which are kicking off my five most-recent played games. They also persist after I've played something else, thereby blocking the items I want to re-populate the list.

This is annoying. Can anyone explain this aberrant behaviour & does anyone have a fix for it? (other than uninstalling the mods, thanks :epiczombie:)

Cheers all.

Because that list isn't Recently Played by definition anymore.

It's recently acquired and/or bought.
The change was made when the 'Game Purchased' -info was put out on the UI.

EDIT: More about it here

That's a beta discussion but does relate to my problem. It's not "recently acquired and/or bought" - Valve employee jmccaskey said in the thread that "Recent is now a sort on last played time or purchase time if the game has no playtime." The mods showing up in my list have play time so it's just not working correctly as per either definition.

Further reading of the thread shows that the changes they've made have turned this jumplist into a buggy, pointless mess. Let's hope they roll it back to the (useful) functionality it once had.

It doesn't matter where it's posted, because it's gone live long ago.

I apparently accidentally wrote recently acquired and/or bought; I meant recently acquired and/or played.

How many games have you played since you played those Sourcemods? Admittedly it is buggy though.
