Steam thinks i'm running windows 6, i'm on 11
IDK what's going on. Recently I reinstalled Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion ( the old one) to play it again. For some reason after I did, my other games keeps saying im using an older version of Windows. I tried to play Sky: Children of light today, only for it to say I'm on Windows 6. I am not on Windows 6. Has anyone had this problem and if so, how do you fix it?

This is what my No Man's Sky error is saying:
Windows 7/8 are no longer supported. Multiplayer features will be disabled.

Environment variable__COMPAT_LAYER is set to HighDpiAware Win8RTM implying you're running in compatibility mode

Debug details for HG: OS Version reported as 6 2

Compatibility Layer: High DpiAware Win8RTM



I checked my steam.exe and it's not set in compatibility mode, So IDK what it is.

Did you even try to go to this site?

No Man's Sky -> See all 10 articles -> I'm getting an "Unsupported Windows Version Detected" popup on PC, but I meet the minimum specs

I checked both NMS and Steam.exe, neither of them are set to compatibility mode. The only thing that was, that I found, was Oblivion.

OK, so I don't know WTF happened, but I restarted my computer and it fixed itself. IDK how but it did. Let leave it at that.
