1. Check for Error Logs
In Steam, go to Steam > Settings > Interface and enable "Display Steam Debug Console" if available.
Try launching the game, then check logs in:
Steam/logs/content_log.txt
Steam/logs/workshop_log.txt
The game itself might also have logs in Documents/My Games or AppData/Local.
2. Run the Game as Administrator
Go to the game's folder in the new SSD (SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Shadow Tactics)
Right-click the .exe file and choose Run as administrator.
3. Delete the AppCache
Go to Steam > SteamApps > Common > Shadow Tactics and delete any cache-related files.
Navigate to Steam > appcache and delete the entire folder.
Restart Steam and try again.
4. Check if the SSD is the Issue
Try installing a small game on the SSD that wasn’t previously migrated and see if it runs.
If not, there might be an issue with the SSD’s format or compatibility. Ensure it’s formatted as NTFS (right-click SSD in File Explorer > Properties).
5. Check for Missing Redistributables
Some games require DirectX, Microsoft Visual C++, or .NET Framework.
Go to SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Shadow Tactics/_CommonRedist/ and install any required redistributables manually.
6. Manually Add the Steam Library Folder
Open Steam > Settings > Storage
Click "Manage Storage Locations", ensure the SSD is properly recognized.
If not, click "Add Library Folder" and select the correct path.
7. Disable Full-Screen Optimizations
Right-click the game's .exe > Properties > Compatibility > Check "Disable fullscreen optimizations".
8. Check for Antivirus or Windows Defender Issues
Some security software might block games when moved to a new drive.
Temporarily disable Windows Defender or your antivirus and try launching.
So if you moved Warzone from drive G:(old drive) to drive H:(new drive) ,
go to "Settings > Storage", then choose the drive G:(old drive) and click on settings(the 3 little dots) and choose "Remove library". Then i went to drive H:(new drive) , went to settings again (3 little dots ) choose "Repair Library" and i also choose "Make Default" and it worked for me i hope this helps :)
