Forgive me for posting this here, but I can't create new discussions, as it says I've been posting too much, whereas this is my first post. Anyways Arma III is having trouble launching, I have the description below of my problems.

I have slow internet speed, and I finally downloaded Arma III for. I open it and it shows the game's page on steam. I can't get it to launch, and it keeps showing me the page to buy it. It was free when I first went to download. I started this morning and got done at about 4PM. I have an Acer Windows 8 computer. Any help or advice? I also deleted the appcache and restarted after deleting some suggested software as suggested by this page: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8676-EFLX-7453&l=english

If there's a way to fix this error, I'd be open to suggestions. I'm a bit broke, hence why I don't want to pay. Let alone pay $30. Thanks in advance.

Ive been having this problem for a while now and I just cant find a fix. I believe steam client crashing is forcing the games to crash. also running windows 8.1

Uninstall Nvidia GeForce Experience worked for me, for now no more crashes :D:

I suppose that a future update of geforce experience/windows/steam will fix the problem, until then I will keep NGE uninstalled.

I think it has something to do with games that use VAC servers? just a possiblility because I can play darksouls II just fine but CSS, CSGO, COD, Gary's mod ect all crash steam and the game

I either do not have Nvidia Geforce (Assuming i dont have it as i have an AMD card) or cannot locate it,though i find Nvidia Physx in my uninstall would Physx cause the problem aswell?
Also, ive tried reinstalling steam and i have the same error as everyone else.

Just for some background information, what nvidia cards are you all using? Also, what driver versions did you update to and from?

Uninstalling physx dont should do anything, but if you feel better you can try it, anyway some games need it for use advanced physics, so if it dont work dont forget about reinstall.

GTX 650, driver version 335.23 (the lastest in this moment) and until some days I had geforce experience 2.0, updated to 2.0.1 and I THINK that the problem was starting since then (I updated windows 8.1 and geforce experience the same day, I dont know what of both was causing the problems).

Try re-installing your gpu driver. If the problem persists, try using the previous gpu driver version.

Seriously ... I had this problem and fixed it by ... doing Windows xp SP 3 compatibility and then deleting the clientserver.blob thing and then restarting steam. Hasn't crashed again ...
