Game forum moderator banning players who have top review
is there anything steam can do about this, to prevent these game companies from attempting to hide bad games.

If you're wondering, I have the Most Upvoted Review For a game called "Face of mankind" I have it as a negative review that tells all about the game. The game moderators banned me from their forums, because of my review, saying I was "spreading false information". Which violates steams community guidelines,
Which it DOES NOT!!!! And nothing was false.

So how can I appeal this ban from the forums, and on my review, since when you file a ticket, steam says they don't care about it?

I contacted tons of the other players who have also near top reviews, and they all say the same thing, the moderator has banned them for the same reasons.

We only have your word that you weren't spreading false information. If you are actively attempting to discredit the developer, harm their reputation and prevent their product being sold....yea. You can get banned. Gamers need to stop their witch hunts.

I seriously doubt you are being banned for just posting a review. What game is this?

The ban has a record of the exact reason why they banned me. Its "For spreading false information." the other reviews also all got the exact same ban.

The last time you brought this garbage up it was pretty uncompelling

Dredging It up a few months later just makes you look like a fool

I get that. What game is this? Unless you have hard proof of wrong doing...accusing people is not a respectful thing to do. People get tired of the accusations.

That game has enough bad reviews already. Doubt too much ppl would buy a game with 37% rating.

And I can already tell from the screenshots that is ugly, bad and buggy. If the devs are trying to hide those facts, they are doing a pretty bad job.

My questions are answered already then. It is pointless to ban a few people to 'hide' details they don't want people to see when there are a ton of other reviews in plain sight. I doubt we are being told everything here.

It was their attempt to hide the posts, because they thought flaggin them for deletion would make them disappear from the rating system.

That seems incredibly far fetched and it is not hard proof. Sorry. They have the right to run their forums as they see fit for better or worse.

If you think its far fetched, then go on their forums, and go talk to any of the players ingame. Or why not try to access the games offical forums?

Because I don't go on crusades and hassle developers. If you don't like the game, refund it and move on. If you are outside the window...move on. Leave it alone.

You know, Im trying to legitmately find a way to get unbanned for being falsely banned.

They couldn't even find a real reason to place the ban, and literally made one up, I would think companies like Valve would care about players getting banned wrongfully from the forums.

Valve is not a game development police force and they cannot monitor every forum. They give devs the freedom to make or break themselves. If you feel you were falsely banned, I am sorry, but all you can do is move on. If that is the case...their reputation will not hold up and things will take care of themselves.

Game developers can see to it how they want to operate their game and their forums.

The only thing a game developer cannot do is ban you from the entire game. In multiplayer situations, they can do game bans that are consistent by Valve's standard, that target your ability to interact with other people in-game, but not in single-player areas of the game.
