H1Z1 Region Locked
Hi! I recently got a gift from one of my friends telling me about how I could use H1Z1 but it was Region locked, I was like okay, how do I get past that? He told me to use a VPN and it'll work like nothing changed. So I got the game, got the VPN, and got the game installed and everything, I tried loading it up, and no matter what VPN I tried it wouldn't work. So I just decide I was gonna buy a non region locked copy and use that. But now I have a copy of H1Z1 I can't use. I was wondering if you can take the regular H1Z1 out of my library and let me put the other one that's in my inv in my library.

Do know using a VPN to bypass region restrictions is against the Steam Subscriber Agreement; and violation of that can lead to account termination.

Contact Steam Support and get the region locked game removed.

1. Using a VPN to circumvent regional restrictions is against the Steam Subscriber Agreement and can get your account permanently suspended.
2. Ask Support to remove the game from your account so you can buy your own Early Access copy of a Free to (Win) Play game.

That's what I'm trying to do.

Using a VPN is against the SSA and your Steam account can be permanently suspended for attempting to so. All you can do is contact Support and ask them to remove the region locked licence and if you want the game; you'll have to buy it. All this assuming you will still have access to your account though..

Discussions is not Support.

I didn't know that using a VPN could cost me my account, my friend didn't tell me anything about that. ;-;

You agreed to the rules upon registration.

Even ticked the box saying you've read it and agree to it.

Sounds like your friend doesn't make good decisions then.
Maybe you should read the Steam Subscriber this time:
http://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/

You had to accept it at account creation by the way, why didn't you read it back then?

Becuase, I got this account from the original owner who passed away unfortunately...

Even that's against the SSA though.

You may not sell or charge others for the right to use your Account, or otherwise transfer your Account, nor may you sell, charge others for the right to use, or transfer any Subscriptions other than if and as expressly permitted by this Agreement (including any Subscription Terms or Rules of Use) or as otherwise specifically permitted by Valve.
That is against the Steam Subscriber Agreement as well. Accounts are not transferable.

That's another violation of the SSA as accounts cannot be bought, sold or transferred to another user. This alone is an account termination. If I were you; I wouldn't contact Support and just pray that you don't lose your account permanently for two severe breaches of the guidelines.
